Jared Lynskey came to South Korea in 2017 to study a Masters degree in Computing Engineering at Kyung Hee University. Since arriving in Korea Jared actively participated in Kiwi Alumni and Kiwi Chamber events, before joining the Kiwi Alumni Committee in 2018. Then took on the role of Chairperson in 2020. Due to the Corona restrictions Kiwi Alumni was unable host events until earlier this year. The events held since have included, Mentor-Mentee evenings, Matariki picnic and Kiwi Alumni night hosted at the New Zealand ambassador’s residence. Jared is an alumni of the University of Waikato and is currently a full stack developer at a startup in Seoul called Picky.

WHY I LOVE NZ
Chairperson

CJ studied at the University of Auckland in New Zealand and has lived there for 10 years. She has participated in several events by Education NZ and Kiwi Alumni, and decided to join the Kiwi Alumni Committee in 2019. Currently, she works in the venture capital industry and offer advice to startups and growing businesses.

Sarah is a New Zealand-born and raised aviation professional with an international background in premium customer service.
She built her foundation in New Zealand, where she completed her aviation and hospitality training at the New Zealand School of Tourism, developing strong skills in communication, service excellence, and global aviation standards.
Sarah began her international career with Qatar Airways, a world-renowned 5-star airline, working as cabin crew based in Doha. Living and working in the Middle East provided her with a unique international experience, where she operated in a highly diverse and fast-paced environment alongside colleagues and passengers from around the world.
In this role, she traveled to over 170 countries, gaining extensive hands-on experience across cultures while delivering high-level service to a global clientele. This experience strengthened her adaptability, cultural awareness, and ability to perform under pressure — key qualities shaped by both her professional environment and her upbringing in New Zealand.

Events Coordinator

James Yeon completed a Master of Applied Computing at Lincoln University in New Zealand. James has an eldest daughter who graduated from Christchurch Girls’ High School, and the second daughter is currently in Year 13, so the whole family are alumni.
While in New Zealand, he established and is setting up a non-profit organization for free IT technology sharing, and worked as a student reporter for Education New Zealand, delivering local education and community stories in Korean.
This time, he has joined as a committee member.
James completed the master’s program at Lincoln University and plans to work in Data Science, AI, and Cloud consulting.

Aanchal Singh came to Korea in 2022 to work as an English Teacher in Sejong City. After settling into Korea, she has enjoyed attending Kiwi Alumni events through in previous years, and is excited to officially join the team with her relocation to Seoul in 2024. Aanchal is an Alumni of Victoria University of Wellington having completed a Masters degree in Biotechnology, and working as a clinical embryologist at Fertility Associates prior to her move to Korea.
