Jared Lynskey came to South Korea in 2017 to study a Masters degree in Computing Engineering at Kyung Hee University. Since arriving in Korea Jared actively participated in Kiwi Alumni and Kiwi Chamber events, before joining the Kiwi Alumni Committee in 2018. Then took on the role of Chairperson in 2020. Due to the Corona restrictions Kiwi Alumni was unable host events until earlier this year. The events held since have included, Mentor-Mentee evenings, Matariki picnic and Kiwi Alumni night hosted at the New Zealand ambassador’s residence. Jared is an alumni of the University of Waikato and is currently a full stack developer at a startup in Seoul called Picky.

CJ studied at the University of Auckland in New Zealand and has lived there for 10 years. She has participated in several events by Education NZ and Kiwi Alumni, and decided to join the Kiwi Alumni Committee in 2019. Currently, she works in the venture capital industry and offer advice to startups and growing businesses.

Vice Chairperson
Aanchal Singh came to Korea in 2022 to work as an English Teacher in Sejong City. After settling into Korea, she has enjoyed attending Kiwi Alumni events through in previous years, and is excited to officially join the team with her relocation to Seoul in 2024. Aanchal is an Alumni of Victoria University of Wellington having completed a Masters degree in Biotechnology, and working as a clinical embryologist at Fertility Associates prior to her move to Korea.

Why I love NZ

The constant backing sound of our unique birds, a beach or a mountain is always close by, the kindness of Kiwis, and the way the stars look at night no matter where in the country you are.

Sol was born in South Korea and immigrated with her family to New Zealand in 2000. She completed Master of Film TV Media Studies at the University of Auckland and did overseas study in La Universidad de Salamanca in Spain and Seoul National University in Korea.
She was a Director of Communications for Auckland Korean Society in New Zealand and also was one of the founding committee members for K-festival, which aimed to connect NZ and Korea culturally.

WHY I LOVE NZ

Ever since I arrived, people in NZ have been so nice and welcoming. I love
travelling around NZ and seeing the incredible beauty of NZ.

Odessa Grayson grew up in Papakura, South Auckland. As a child she alway had a thirst to lead and entertain in everything she did. Odessa graduated with a Bachelor of Dance Studies from the University of Auckland in 2019. She moved to Korea in 2020 to pursue her dream of teaching. For the first two years, she taught at a public school in Wonju, Gangwon, before transitioning to private kindergarten teaching in Seoul.
Drawing on her love for her Māori and Kiwi culture, Odessa organized school events and camps to educate and inspire her students. She actively promotes New Zealand in all aspects of her life, including on social media. In her free time, she focuses on showcasing and promoting Korea to her followers, spanning across New Zealand, America, the UK, and Australia.
