Attendance at Board Meetings

Board members are required to attend at least half of scheduled Board Meetings. The Board will review attendance every six months to check the eligibility of any Board Member and may hold a vote on potential volunteer(s) to replace the absent Board Member. Any Board Member who fails to attend at least half of the Board Meetings held in the calendar year will not be eligible to continue their role in the following year.

Charter of Values

In carrying out their role as a Kiwi Alumni Board Member, all members are expected to adhere to the following Charter of Values. These values ensure that the Board is a professional, safe and fun environment, where individuals are respected and valued.

Professionalism

Board members should act in a responsible and professional manner, carrying out their duties to the best of their ability.

Respect

Board members should carry out their duties with respect. This includes respecting the diversity of members’ race, gender, sexual orientation and religion, and ensuring that the Board is a safe environment to work.

Integrity

Board members should carry out their duties with integrity and honesty, owning up to mistakes and being accountable for the use of alumni funds. The Board needs to uphold its promises to donors and stakeholders.

Teamwork

Kiwi Alumni cannot function without all members providing support to each other. Board members agree to work as a team, not for individual gain, and to support each other to make the board a fun and enjoyable environment.
